STROLLER DERBY PDF Print E-mail

Collier Child Care Resources, Inc will be hosting a Fun Family Event, and a raffle, to raise tuition assistance for underprivileged children who come from low income families. All families should have access to quality, affordable child care to ensure that their children are safe and in a setting that promotes healthy development.

The Stroller Derby will start at 8:30am on Saturday, September 18, 2010 on the Naples Campus of Edison State College. This event will include prizes, a bounce house, face painting, as well as delicious food. The Stroller Derby is FREE of ADMISSION.

The race is going to be a fun; two people will be pushing a modified stroller with another person, “the baby” to the finish line. While the race is only open to those over the age of 18, all ages will enjoy cheering on those who participate. Our Stroller Derby race will be entertaining for all. The public will be able to vote on the most innovative stroller as well as the prettiest “baby.”

Our featured band at the event is “NO CLOUT” a No Doubt Tribute Band based in Florida , playing all of the many hits of No Doubt and Gwen Stefani’s solo career.

The East Naples Fire Department, will be bringing their fire truck to our event, they will also be racing their stroller. The sheriff’s department will be participating as well by providing crime prevention with Mcgruff the Dog and Bike Rodeos. Every other month YP Naples will host an event that support our “adopted” charity, so keep an eye out for our fun-filled charitable endeavors!

In addition to these events, we will also promote other charitable organizations at our meetings with a table of informational materials.
